After today’s (Wednesday’s) market close, Chipotle Mexican Grill reported first-quarter adjusted EPS of $0.29. While this matched our $0.29 forecast, it came in one cent above sell-side consensus (according to Consensus Metrix) of $0.28.

After today’s (Tuesday’s) market close, Chipotle Mexican Grill reported adjusted Q4 2024 EPS of $0.25. This was one cent higher than our $0.24 forecast, and matched sell-side consensus (according to Consensus Metrix) of $0.25. Relative to our model, we attribute the one-cent EPS beat to a Q4 adjusted tax rate that was more favorable than our projection by about 90 basis points.
